Authorities in Town of Tonawanda, New York say a man has been charged in connection with the death of his wife following a fatal incident inside a residential home earlier this month.

Police reported that officers responded to a first aid call at approximately 2:48 a.m. on May 16, 2026, at a residence on Cleveland Drive, where they found 51-year-old Tiffany L. Malvaso deceased inside the home. Investigators said she suffered significant blunt force trauma.

Following an investigation, authorities arrested her husband, 36-year-old Nicholas M. Malvaso, and charged him with second-degree murder, a Class A-I felony under New York law.

Malvaso was arraigned in Town of Tonawanda Court and ordered held without bail at the Erie County Holding Center. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 21, 2026.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing, and no further details about the circumstances leading up to the incident have been released.
